Glam Fest 2024

Nostalgia is everything and Silverback Touring knows this as they deliver the second instalment of Glam Fest, their hard rock, glam, classic and melodic rock mini fest which debuted in 2023.

The 2024 edition stays true to form with a healthy mix of acts from the heyday of Eighties hard rock through to modern day acts proudly wearing the influence of the era that brought us big guitars, big hooks and big hair.

Fronting the line up is Slaughter featuring long time collaborators Mark Slaughter and Dana Strum. The band, now in its 35th year, continues to tirelessly tour the world over and finally makes it to Australia for the first time ever.

They will be joined by guitar maestro George Lynch with his post Dokken band, Lynch Mob on their farewell tour, Janet Gardner, the voice of female ‘80s sensations Vixen, Sweden’s H.E.A.T, as well as first time visitors in melodic rock act Tyketto, cult ‘80s Sunset Strip rockers  Jetboy and fast rising Swedish sleaze kings, The Cruel Intentions.

The bill is rounded out by a selection of local hard rock acts led by the ever popular Melbourne trio, Sisters Doll and also includes: Ablaze, Dept of Gloom, Crosson, The Black Cardinals, Ragdoll, Cassidy Paris, DJ Paul Miles and Wicked Smile.

On Glam Fest, Silverback’s Danny Bazzi says, “This is the show that fans of ‘80s hard rock and ‘80s inspired hard rock wish they got back when this music ruled the charts and airwaves. It’s here now and we’re taking everyone back to a time when music was fun and loose with bands that fans wanted to see, should have seen and need to see”.
